Lexmark's Suppliers
Supplier Selection Criteria
Lexmark selects suppliers based on their ability to deliver the goods or services needed at the optimum mix of quality, service, lowest total cost, environmental sustainability, diversity, and relationship. The weighting on any of these factors will vary by the goods being sourced, but all are considered at some level during the sourcing process.
Supplier Diversity
Lexmark's commitment to diversity extends beyond its workforce and customers to include its diverse supply base. We recognize that engaging with suppliers who provide a diversity of ideas - in addition to delivering quality goods and services - creates a significant competitive advantage. We enjoy a positive reputation in our communities and know that our commitment to supplier diversity will impact the economic development of those communities. For this reason, we embrace the responsibility to make it happen.
Supplier Requirements
Lexmark is committed to being a socially responsible company in our global community. As part of this commitment, Lexmark has joined with the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) in adopting its Electronics Industry Code of Conduct. Lexmark works with our suppliers to ensure that they treat their workers and employees fairly and with dignity and respect, maintain safe working conditions, and conduct manufacturing activities in an environmentally safe and responsible manner.

Supplier Performance Management
Lexmark recognizes that it can gain competitive advantage from a superior supply base and that can have a major impact on the revenues and profits of Lexmark and our customers. Therefore, Lexmark strives to continually improve our supply base through working with our suppliers and providing performance feedback on a periodic basis. This feedback will come in the form of a Supplier Performance Review with the frequency determined by the type and amount of work done for Lexmark. The areas typically reviewed are: Cost, Quality, Delivery and Support, Flexibility and Ease of Doing Business, and Partnership and Technology. Suppliers that excel in these areas and work to continuously improve their performance are given a preferred status and have a stronger chance to increase their business with Lexmark.
