IEEE P2600 Working Group

The purpose of this working group is to define security requirements on all aspects of security including (but not limited to):

• Authorization
• Privacy
• Integrity
• Device Management
• Physical Security
• Information Security) for Manufacturers
• Users
• Others

On the selection, installation, configuration and usage of hardcopy devices and systems; including:

• Printers
• Copiers
• Multifunction Devices

The Working Group has established valuable standards to

• Identify hardcopy device security exposures,
• guide manufacturers and software developers on what security features and functions to include in their products,
• and Instruct end-users on how to leverage these capabilities to improve organizational hardcopy security
